The Living History
of Banana Logistics in Greece

For over 35 years, Karlos Enterprises has been closely connected with the evolution of banana logistics in Greece.
From the first imports and the historic port of Aegion to the free zone of Thessaloniki, we built one of the region’s most specialised fresh logistics networks, partnering with global brands such as Chiquita, Dole, Del Monte, Bonita and Fyffes.

Exclusive Shipping Agent

Following the lifting of the import ban in 1988, Karlos Enterprises S.A. becomes the exclusive shipping agent for banana cargo arriving in Greece.

A dedicated Βanana Τerminal

A year later, Konstantinos Karlos establishes a dedicated banana import terminal in Aigio creating a specialized gateway for the country’s growing banana trade.

The new Μajor Ηub

The company expands its operations to Nea Peramos, which soon evolves into a major hub for banana imports and functions as «the New Aigio».

Leading the Νew Εra

The establishment of cold storage facilities, in 2012, at the Port of Thessaloniki marks the beginning of a new era for banana imports in Greece.
